That moment when The Clash met Warhol.

“In 1981 I happened to see Joe Strummer – he was the singer for the punk rock band The Clash – on the tube. I saw him sitting on the other side of the seat, but I thought he was too private – he might get too angry – but I was trying to be brave, I went up to him and asked him ‘may I take a picture of you.’ he smiled and said ‘yes’, and I clicked several shots.
Just before he got off the train he said to me, ‘You should take photos of whatever you want. That’s punk.’ ”

100 (famous) Humans I Love - in no particular order | Joe Strummer (1952 - 2002)
“In fact, punk rock means exemplary manners to your fellow human being. Fuck being an asshole.”

Uuuuuugh so this person is like trolololoing all over my heart. Like I know where you are coming from. I have been there! I had/have those feelings! But just because you see where others are illogical does not make you the epitome of logic and cleverness. Like how you denounce the concept of privilege, yet view feminism only in a white, American context. Yup, because you have not felt oppression that means no one else has! And there are other things that annoy me but it don’t mattaaaa I just need to stop feeling all these feeeeeelings.
Anyways… I SAW A LITTLE GIRL ROLLERSKATING TODAY BUT SHE COULDN’T ROLLERSKATE AND SO SHE WAS JUST TAKING THESE GIANT STEPS IN HER ROLLERSKATES AND NEARLY FALLING AND OMG IT WAS ADORABLE I WAS DYING. Also, look at the ~pretty in my moleskine! If you haven’t noticed, I’ve recently become enamored with The Clash, more specifically Joe Strummer and all that his wondrousness entails (including the fiiiiine as hell Paul Simonon).
Well I should go paint, and finish making my class schedule, and then paint more.
