October 28, 1950 legendary radio comedian and host Jack Benny made one of the few successful leaps the small screen. Since that was decades before any of us were being scolded for eating paste, I need to explain that Jack’s running gag was lying about his age.
With that, here is Jack Benny as a guest star on Groucho Marx’s “You Bet Your Life”. Both trying to out-droll the other.
p.s. the woman in the middle is Irene Tedrow who played at least some roll in every television series from the Twilight Zone to Punky Brewster.
