Ok, let’s be real - Rockford just isn’t this nice (they’ve cleaned it up in this video and it’s mos def not a cosmopolitan metropolis). But this video does highlight some of the best things about it and I’ve been to almost all of the places they talk about (and I’ve never even lived there! I just visit relatives). The Coronado is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to (I went to see Yo-Yo Ma there with my grandfather when I was a little kid and I spent the whole time staring at the twinkling ceiling), and the Stockholm Inn has ruined me for pancakes everywhere. The Japanese Garden, Burpee Museum, Octane, etc etc are all great too. I’ll be honest: I might not like Rockford very much, but it’s an important part of my heart.
