Jean-Luc Godard on film vs. digital
this is very much from the department of “i report, you try to make sense of it on your own time” but brought to you in part due to the news that industry giants AARI, Panavision, and Aaton have all recently ceased to manufacture film cameras.
sounds to me like Godard would rather all formats of filmmaking remain healthy and available, and i’d say that’s one of the most lucid and compelling arguments he’s had in quite some time.
